Ground control to Odysseans', Starbucks needs your help creating rocket ships as they blast off on a new Web3 journey!
Starbucks Odyssey program has teamed up with @AkuDreams AKA @micah_johnson3 a former Major League Baseball player-turned-artist ,in response to hearing a young boy ask, “Can astronauts be Black?” An animated boy with imagination, swagger and an oversized astronaut’s helmet, Aku has become a symbol of the potential for greatness in every child for the brand's next java journey.
"Ready to blast off," Starbucks wrote in an email to voyagers on July 17th. " Starbucks Odyssey is collaborating with Aku, an animated by with a big helmet and an even bigger dream."
To help Aku reach the stars, Starbucks is asking community members to build homemade rocket ships out of their coffee cups!
Odysseans' who decide to embark on this journey with Starbucks, can then share their rocket ship creations as one of three steps needed to claim the Aku Rocket Journey stamp.
As Odysseans' build their rocket ships, Starbucks has pledged to donate $100,000 to Blessings in a Backpack.
Odysseans' have until August 13th to create their rocket ships to earn a badge.
